As a 501(c)4 non-profit, we are not a political group, but a social welfare association. Our goal is to educate, advocate for, and represent Maumee citizens.
Our subcommittees include engineers, lawyers, accountants, and more. We are working towards solutions. We encourage you to come to a meeting!
Working Toward Solutions
Our subcommittees have been in contact with many other communities, government officials, the EPA, and others to outline solutions that will work for our residents. We have been researching grants and other avenues to help residents make these changes. We are also reviewing all recent legislation to better understand the inner workings of Maumee.
100% of Donations Fund Education and Research.
CMAC funding is going toward public information campaigns, including printing and/or mailing materials and public information requests, as the city charges even for digital copies. We will also be putting some toward legal counsel to ensure we are organized correctly and for general advice. Our funding so far has come from the remainder of the citizens’ initiative GoFundMe, 50/50 raffle ticket and shirt sales, and community donations. We have no paid employees, and 100% of donations go towards this work.
Current Initiatives & Projects
Education & Research
Our goals are to inform every citizen of what is happening in our local government. Through social media campaigns, e-newsletters, canvassing neighborhood with flyers and information, telephone hotlines, and more, we hope to use multi-channel communication to keep Maumee residents in the loop.
Homeowner Assistance
We want to help our neighbors. Though we can’t solve all of our problems, we are working on creating a program to help seniors, veterans and other citizens extend their downspouts, and potentially, install rain barrels for those who are interested. This small step will not just help with the EPA, but your property, as well!
Advocating for You
We want every citizen to have a voice and a vote. As we gain a better understanding of the laws that affect our town, we want to make sure that citizens have a chance to weigh in on the matter. We are hoping to add Citizens Initiatives to 2025 ballots that reflect the positive changes we hope to enact.
